A Hoppalong is a player's traveling companion. They are created during the character creation process and are available in multiple classes. They are a combat 'pet' and as such, can be killed in battle.
Hoppalongs start out with a Cleaver class and are equipped with a Battleaxe. Players will be able to level up or find new Hoppalong classes by finding Primers in the world. They can use weapons from loot drops or items your character no longer needs. These items can be equipped via the Companion window.
